RSF assures all citizens in North Darfur

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) assures all citizens in North Darfur, especially those in El Fasher, that they are not targets in the ongoing conflict. Our personnel hold no hostility toward any citizen. We urge everyone to dismiss rumors spread by the former regime, mercenary movements, and the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), which aim to foment fear and panic among the public.

We call on El Fasher residents to thwart these terrorists' plans by avoiding conflict areas and potential airstrike targets. Do not respond to malicious calls to mobilize and engage in this war, especially after the defeats suffered by the former regime and its terror-driven allies within the SAF at the hands of our forces.

Credible reports indicate that mercenary movements are now threatening and intimidating citizens by falsely claiming that the RSF targets civilians. These are desperate attempts to use civilians as human shields. We reassure everyone that they are free to decide whether to remain in or leave the city, without any restriction. The RSF holds no hostility toward any party and is ready to assist by providing safe corridors and the necessary protection for voluntary departures to safer areas.

These lies and misinformation campaigns aimed at instilling fear will not deceive the resilient people of Darfur. They have endured deceitful tactics from those in power and their allied mercenaries for far too long and seek freedom from the former regime and its extremist supporters.

El Fasher residents know that the RSF has been monitoring closely the situation. Recent movements, including those of Minni Arko Minnawi's mercenaries, who declared neutrality but subsequently attacked our forces, justify our right to self-defense, as guaranteed by international law.

We reassure the people of Darfur, who have suffered so greatly under the former regime from injustice, persecution, and marginalization, that our courageous RSF soldiers are committed to eradicating terrorism by dismantling the strongholds of the SAF and its extremist patrons. These terrorist elements represent legitimate targets for our forces. We are determined to end this war in favor of the people, who aspire to freedom, justice, peace, and inclusivity, and the end of the era of the racist and corrupt gang that destroyed our country.
